Restored Shipping for Essential Business Orders

Operations Update

As we’re sure most of you know, many states and local governments have issued “shelter-in-place” orders that require all citizens not engaged in essential business or life-sustaining activities to stay at home. These orders require the suspension of in-person operations that are not essential businesses or necessary to sustain or protect life, as defined in the local order. We plan to open our warehouse operations on Monday, March 30th in order to service all orders that qualify as ”essential business”.

Shipping “Essential Business” Orders

As of Monday, March 30th we are re-opening our operations in a limited capacity to support business that falls under the “essential business” criteria within each state. Orders must be submitted with a Customer Essential Orders Qualification letter that describes the nature of the project. This letter template is available to download here and is required when submitting Essential Business orders.

Examples of “essential business” includes:

  • Hospitals or other healthcare facilities providing medical services;
  • Government agencies providing crisis response support;
  • Commercial customers providing direct food service or other life sustaining critical services;
  • Commercial customers providing other essential business services like banking or transportation;
  • Other essential business orders

Submitting Essential Business Orders

For orders that meet this criteria, send P.O.s to essentials@amqsolutions.com with a Customer Essential Orders Qualification letter (required). Download the template to forward to your customers to customize with their project information, and then submit with your P.O.

Regular Business Orders

AMQ will continue to accept non-essential orders but will delay shipping these orders until the California shelter-in-place mandate is lifted. We will hold your order and contact you with a ship date once full operations are resumed.

We realize how much this disruption provides challenges for our dealers. Please know that we are doing everything we can to function as best we can and continue to meet our commitments to our valued customers.

New Deposits / Discounts

Temporary Terms in effect March 30, 2020

To help mitigate some of the challenges caused by these volatile times, we’re introducing a deposit and cash discount program to accelerate the cash cycle from your clients to you.

Deposit Requirements (*applies to accepted Essential Business orders only) see previous page for details on Essential Business

  • 65% deposit due before shipping

If paying in full within 5 or 15 days of invoicing, deduct appropriate discount from either the deposit or on the balance due – see Discount terms, below.

Cash Discounts (applies to invoices dated 3/30 onward):

  • 5% cash discount: If invoice is paid within 5 days
  • 2.25% cash discount: If invoice is paid within 15 days

Invoices can also be paid with our standard terms of Net 30, with no discount applied. Deposits are still required for Essential Business orders.

Please Note: If invoices are not paid within Net 30 terms, dealership will be subject to a credit hold, potentially delaying shipment of future orders.

Purpose of Discounts/Deposit Program

These temporary terms are intended to empower you to inspire clients to pay sooner, increasing your positive cash flow. If it is not needed to spur client payments, these discounts will boost your bottom line and help support your business during this challenging time.

Impacted Services

Literature and Finish Samples:

  • We will not be shipping these from AMQ until further notice. Please reach out to your AMQ sales representative for support in this area.

Warranty Kits & On-Site Service Technicians:

  • For limited regions in the San Francisco Bay Area we offer on-site service, which will be suspended until further notice. For product and warranty issues, our Customer Care team is available for remote troubleshooting. We will resume shipping warranty kits as soon as possible.

Restricted Travel

AMQ has restricted all non-critical commercial air travel beyond current COVID-19 hotspots to include all locations.

Reduced Gatherings

We’ve eliminated large company gatherings and are mandating a reduction in other face-to-face meetings. We’ve canceled upcoming events that bring more than 10 people together and are creatively using technology to reimagine collaboration.

Implemented Social Distancing

Our facilities team has made key changes to our physical spaces to ensure proper distancing, and we've intensified the cleaning and sanitization cadence in accordance with current guidelines. This is a dynamic situation and AMQ is committed to raising the bar on health and safety.

Cleaning AMQ Products

A few points specific to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19):

  • According to the CDC, transmission of COVID-19 to persons from surfaces contaminated with the virus has not been documented. Transmission of COVID-19 apparently occurs through respiratory droplets.
  • The CDC has advised that the most effective method for preventing the spread of viruses and germs is to follow handwashing protocols.
